Kingdom Mindset 104...Increase
Today’s post deals with a two-fold truth that is essential for us to stay on course if we’re going to live and function in a kingdom mindset.
This two-fold truth is found in Isaiah 9:7 "Of the increase of His government (Kingdom) and peace there shall be no end..."
Before you say, ‘Yea, yea, yea, I know that scripture. I’ve heard that a thousand times! I know what that means…’ let me ask you to put that on pause and go with me for a minute to the reality of life as we know it today. As Paul starts out in 2 Corinthians 4:8 “We are hard pressed on every side…” The fact is, we DO have trouble everywhere we look. But the truth is, we don’t have to focus on the trouble. God has provided a way of escape from the tormenting thoughts of current events. The key to escape is viewing reality from God’s perspective. It’s a kingdom mindset that will keep us free to live in peace and be productive in the midst of turmoil.
Our minds are a gateway, if you will, to either evil or good (to the natural way of looking at things, or the spiritual way of looking at things). The enemy can use our minds as a tool (a gateway) if we come into agreement with him. In the same way, God can use our minds as a gateway to advance the kingdom. That’s why Corinthians 10:5 says “…bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”
Having a kingdom mindset allows our gateway to be used for an increase of His kingdom, and a benefit of that is peace! As we view everything from God’s perspective, the truth of the kingdom is manifested in our lives and in the atmosphere around us. Do you want to live in peace in the midst of turmoil? Then focus on the kingdom. Focus on TRUTH!
To the carnal mind, there is a fine line between facts and truth. Sometimes it can become blurred. But for those that are kingdom minded, truth is far above anything that is fact. To the kingdom minded, truth takes precedence over facts.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life.” If you’ve encountered Him, then you’ve encountered truth. And it will take precedence over fact every time.
While many times it looks like evil is overtaking our world, nothing could be further from the truth! Because the TRUTH is “Of the increase of His Kingdom and peace, there shall be no end!” Not only do kingdom-minded people believe this, but they DECREE it!! They release those words into the atmosphere because they KNOW there is power in the spoken word of God!
Decree these words with me…”Father, we thank you that your truth has the final say. We decree over our United States of America, as well as the nations of the world, that of the increase of your government and peace there will be no end! Lord that means the kingdom is not backing up, not backing down and not dwindling. We decree Your kingdom is increasing and multiplying and growing exponentially, and along with it your peace is expanding! Lord we not only decree it but we see it, we feel it and we ‘touch it’ in the spirit! We decree all of earth and its inhabitants will bow to that truth! So be it Lord, for your glory and honor. In Jesus name, Amen and Amen! "
