We’re in a time we have never been in before. I have heard many refer to it as the ‘Divine Pause’, and I believe it truly is!
As I was praying over recent events, most especially the Corona virus and our nation’s economy, the Lord reminded me of Joshua. Joshua followed in the footsteps of Moses, and while Moses was chosen to lead the people out of bondage, Joshua was chosen by God to lead His people into the Promised Land.
I believe that’s where we are now on God’s timetable. As God’s people, we have been led out of the bondage of the old life, and while we have been acclimating to being Kingdom people, there is a designated time for us to enter fully into the Kingdom with all His promises. The time is NOW.
The Lord told Joshua, “Since my servant Moses is now dead, you and the Israelites must prepare to cross over the Jordan River to enter the land I have given you…So be strong and courageous, for you will lead this people as they acquire and then divide the land I promised to their ancestors... This is My command; be strong and courageous. Never be afraid or discouraged because I am your God, the Eternal One, and I will remain with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:2,6,9 The Voice)
When Joshua heard God’s commands, he gathered the leaders of the people of Israel and gave them their instructions. ‘Go through the camp and tell your people “Gather what you need because in three days you will pass over the Jordan into the land the Eternal One, your God, has given you to possess. Soon it will be ours.” (Joshua 1:11 The Voice)
Have you ever wondered what the people must have been thinking? They had been wandering in the desert for 40 years. They expected, long before now, to have come to the Promised Land…the land they longed for. I imagine there was some scoffing, some unbelief, maybe some that were completely unprepared, and a lot of deferred hope that left them sick and tired! And now, they had just been told to prepare, because in 3 days they would pass over to the Promised Land. Could it be? Could it finally, really be true?
I believe that’s where we are NOW! Just like the Israelites about to cross over into the Promised Land, we all have mixed emotions. But Dear Kingdom people, God knows where we are! He has given us a window of time to seek Him and verify what He says is true, in our own spirit and soul. In the natural, the time of Passover is almost upon us, and I would admonish you to take this time, this Divine Pause, and use it wisely! Because afterwards, things will never be the same. We are truly entering into our Promised Land! It’s time to prepare….Selah!
