KINGDOM IDENTITY...Birthing the Glory!
"While they [Joseph & Mary] were there, the time came for her to give birth. She gave birth to a son, her firstborn. She wrapped him in a blanket [swaddling clothes, which were long strips of cloth] and laid him in a manger [feeding trough], because there was no room in the hostel [inn]. There were sheepherders [shepherds] camping in the neighborhood. They had set night watches over their sheep. Suddenly, God's angel stood among them and God's glory blazed around them. They were terrified. The angel said, 'Don't be afraid. I'm here to announce a great and joyful event that is meant for everybody, worldwide; A Savior has just been born in David's town, a Savior who is Messiah and Master. This is what you're to look for; a baby wrapped in a blanket and lying in a manger.' At once the angel was joined by a huge angelic choir singing God's praises;
'Glory to God in the heavenly heights,
Peace to all men and women on earth who please him.'
As the angel choir withdrew into heaven, the sheepherders talked it over. 'Let's get over to Bethlehem as fast as we can and see for ourselves what God has revealed to us.' They left, running, and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger. Seeing was believing. They told everyone they met what the angels had said about this child. All who heard the sheepherders were impressed. Mary kept all these things to herself, holding them dear, deep within herself." (Luke 2:6-19 The Message Bible)
We all love the Christmas story, especially this time of year when it becomes a little more real, a little more meaningful, and a little more discernible to us. I have been pondering this story for a couple of months now, especially upon hearing the Lord say to 'look a little more closely' at it. There are parallels in the Christmas story that fall in the timeline we are in NOW and that coincide with the new era we are NOW stepping into.
First of all, Mary & Joseph were in an appointed time and place when Jesus was born. And just like them, we are in a designated, appointed time and place for God's glory to be revealed through us. We are on the cusp of a SUDDENLY! Webster's dictionary defines cusp as 'a point or pointed end.' There is about to be a birthing in the bride of Christ, and when the water breaks and the living word comes forth, the glory will be unlike anything we have ever seen! Get ready!!
There is about to be a convergence, a God-ordained merging of time and space that will catapult us into the new era. Angels will accompany this divine convergence, just like they did when Jesus was born. There is much angelic activity right now. I see it much like a delivery room, when the baby is 'crowning', and everybody is taking their place to prepare for the final push. Angels are now going forth, announcing the living word about to be born. And just like God received all the glory when Jesus was born, so now, He will receive the glory of the multitude giving birth.
Secondly, like the shepherds who wanted to see for themselves the baby in a manger, so there will be a multitude, a harvest of souls, who will run to see and experience the birth of the living word, full of glory. The living word, being born from His bride, will have the answer so many have been searching for. The living word will satisfy the hungry and thirsty, and cause them to know true love. This is the same true love that was born in a manger almost 2000 years ago. And now it's being birthed throughout the world, through His people who are in love with Him.
Do you see what I see? Do you hear what I hear? The time for fulfillment has come. Will you be one of the ones to birth the glory? Will you be one to release the living word to the multitudes? And lastly, just like Mary held as precious all the things that happened around the birth of her son, so we, too, look in awe and wonder, holding dear and precious the birthing of what Holy Spirit has put in us. We feel it, we know it, and even now we are experiencing the beginning of delivery. Hallelujah!! Glory to God in the highest!
