KINGDOM IDENTITY...Hear the Sound!

For several weeks, the Lord has been impressing upon me the parable in Matthew 25 about the ten virgins. It seems everywhere I turn, I am hearing an urgency to press into Him. The story of the ten virgins illustrates exactly where we are now in the timing of God, and what the focus of kingdom-minded people should be in this hour.

There is a sound beginning to resound over all the earth...it's a sound of turmoil, danger, upheaval, disillusionment and fear. But for those in the kingdom, it's a wake-up call. There is a sound within this sound of chaos, and the sound is to draw near to Him. Are you hearing the sound within the sound? For those with a kingdom identity, the sound is clear and precise. But everyone has to make the choice...will you obey the call, or ignore it? Will you understand kingdom time, will you hear the sound...or will your ears be dull? Can you discern the times, and are you too 'busy'?

"Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the Bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold the Bridegroom is coming; go out to meet Him!' Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.' But the wise answered, saying, 'No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.' And while they went to buy, the Bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us!' But He answered and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.' Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming."

There is a midnight cry resounding in the earth now...for kingdom people, we do not have a choice. To make an impact in our world and to advance the kingdom, our only choice is to respond "Yes, Lord!" Now is the time to cultivate face-to-face encounters with Jesus, to get our 'marching orders' from Him, and to be about our Father's business. We are even now experiencing the beginning of a great revival coupled with great judgement.

In this parable, it was the wise virgins, the ones with oil in their lamps that had the privilege of going in with Jesus to the wedding. They had the oil of Holy Spirit, the oil of intimacy. Because they made time with Him a priority, it caused their lamps to burn brightly. In these strategic times, Jesus will reveal His secrets to those who KNOW (yada) Him. He will release the joy and intimacy of a bride to those who spend time with Him; and it is His bride that will have the privilege of partnering with Him in this end-time scenario. So once again, do you hear the sound? Will you answer His call? The time is not tomorrow...it is NOW! Don’t delay!!
