KINGDOM IDENTITY...Seeing with Spiritual Vision

This month our Kingdom Identity series takes us to a very important part of our kingdom identity...our sight. How we see things in the natural realm must translate to the spiritual. In other words, our natural vision must interact with our spiritual vision to truly understand what God is saying in any particular situation.

So the question is...how does God see a particular situation or person? We can apply this to any situation or person, it doesn't matter. God has an original purpose for every person He created, and He is a God of redemption. That means there is always hope for every person, no matter what you see happening in the natural.

In Matthew 13:10-17 Jesus is talking to his disciples, explaining their question as to why He speaks in parables. 'He answered and said to them, "Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given." ' His answer is clear that his disciples, or his followers, will know the mysteries of the kingdom, but others will not have that privilege.

He then goes on to say "I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand..." and then He quotes the prophet Isaiah "...For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed. Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them." (Matthew 13:15)

Our ability to see and understand the things of the kingdom is connected directly to our heart. We cannot see, or perceive the kingdom unless our heart is in tune with God's heart. It is out of our heart connection that we 'see' with spiritual vision and 'hear' with spiritual ears.

This heart connection with God is mandatory for living in the Kingdom. Everything we do must be filtered through the eyes of His love for the world. As we move in love we advance His kingdom. As we see with His eyes we advance His kingdom.

So let me ask you...how do you see the world? How do you see the people you come in contact with, or the situations you hear about? Do you see with mercy or judgement? Do you see with love or hatred? How do you respond to hard situations? Do you see people the way God sees them? God is a God of justice, and His ways are perfect. Justice is the full restoration of all things according to the original design held in the mind of God from the foundation of the world.

Prayer & Declaration: Father God let me see with your eyes. I want to live in the fullness of my kingdom identity, and I know I don't always see things or people from your eyes, or perspective. Enlarge my heart Lord to love people the way you love them. Increase my spiritual vision to see things from your plan of justice. Lord, I decree my eyes will begin to see at a deeper & higher level as my heart is softened towards others. Lord, I decree the places where my heart has grown dull that you will awaken me to clear focus and wisdom. Thank you Lord for the ability you're giving me to see with kingdom eyes, and partner with you to advance your kingdom. In Jesus' name, amen & amen.
