(1) How beautiful are your feet in sandals, O prince's daughter! The curves of your thighs are like jewels, the work of the hands of a skillful workman. (2) Your navel is a rounded goblet; it lacks no blended beverage. Your waist is a heap of wheat set about with lilies.
Today's scripture begins with the discerning daughters speaking to the bride, acknowledging first of all, they see the success she is having in evangelism. Her 'feet in sandals' are a representation of successful evangelism. Then they refer to her as the prince's daughter, signifying she is a daughter of royalty. Anyone who has experienced the new birth in Christ can say with confidence that they are children of royalty! This title is also used in Psalm 45:13 "The royal daughter is all glorious within the palace; her clothing is woven with gold."
The description of her thighs speaks of her strength that has been developed through the trials and tests, as she has yielded to the skillful precise training of Father God. He is the workman in our lives and we are the workmanship "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2:10)
Her navel speaks of her full range of nourishment, received from Him, that has brought strength and maturity to her inner life. She will impart the nutrients of strength and maturity to others as well.
Lastly, her waist, which in Hebrew means womb, is a powerful statement about her part in the end-time harvest. The daughters see the great harvest she will bring in, that will be established in purity (lilies), holiness and faith. The great harvest is the abundance of wheat, set about with lilies. The bride is about to birth a great harvest, and it will bring Him great glory.
