Song of Solomon 6:10

(10) Who is she who looks forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, awesome as an army with banners?

There is a progression in the life of the bride that is being explained here, and is a powerful reality to us all. 2 Corinthians 3:18 states "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord." If we are in Him, we are all being changed from glory to glory. The Christian life is one of progression, and will continue until the day we move from this life to live with Him forever. It's His plan and purpose to transform us into His image as much as possible on this earth.

To look forth as the morning (or the dawn) is the bride's initial glory, where she has conquered the compromise in her life.

She then advances to being as fair as the moon, which is a greater glory in which she is a light to people in a fallen world. She is reflecting light similar to the moon's light, which is a reflection of the sun, and she is bringing people to the Light of the world. It is a greater glory than what she previously had.

The third step of progression is to be as clear as the sun, which is more than the previous glory. This glory has to do with His government administration, of which she has grown to be a part. She recognizes she is a co-heir with the Bridegroom, and administrates accordingly. In other words, the bride knows her position, seated with Him at the Father's right hand, and she isn't afraid, timid or shy in enforcing that reality in the spirit realm. There must come a time in our spiritual life that we understand the reality of being seated with Him in heaven places, and understand His desire is for us to co-labor with Him to bring justice to the earth. The bride has taken her appointed place beside Him and is reflecting the glory of the Son. This is a powerful place to be. Are you there yet?

The last progression of the bride is becoming as awesome as an army with banners. In Song of Solomon days, an army with banners signified a victorious army coming home from battle, with their victory banners unfurled and waving. They had their enemy in chains behind the procession of banners). She displays victory in every assignment the Bridegroom gives, and does so out of her relationship with Him. "In Him we live, and move and have our being" (Acts 17:28). She has learned who she is and what she does is completely wrapped up in Him and His purpose.

This is the heart of a true mature bride; one who has no agenda of her own, but lives and moves in His agenda. It is beautiful to Him.
