Song of Solomon 5:15
(16) His legs are pillars of marble set on bases of fine gold. His countenance is like Lebanon, excellent as the cedars.
The Bridegroom's legs are descriptive of His strength and stability coupled with His divine nature. They also speak of His walk and His administration in all things.
Have you ever had a problem you just couldn't figure out what to do, or how to handle? I think we all have. Thankfully, we can be assured He has the wisdom, knowledge, and strength to handle anything we need help with. Even in our biggest messes, He will have the answers and know exactly what we need to bring us up and out of those situations. There will never be anyone with the wisdom and knowledge to administrate perfectly the way He does.
His ways never fail or vacillate. They are a solid, stable foundation we can depend upon, and lean on in times of trouble. In Deuteronomy 32:4, the song of Moses states "He is the Rock, His work is perfect; for all His ways are justice. A God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He." All of His plans are executed with strength, dignity and order. The wonderful thing about all this is that He WANTS us to ask questions and lean on Him! He wants to be the one we run to for help...in the good times and in the bad. He delights knowing our trust is in Him.
Next the bride describes the beauty of His countenance. His appearance, or manifest presence shines like a brilliant light in the dark recesses of our heart. As we wait and gaze upon Him, He will impart His very character to us. Like the majestic cedars of Lebanon that stand tall and strong and fragrant above all the other trees, so is His countenance that shines upon our hearts. Everything else dims in comparison. His manifest presence has the ability to impart something very tangible to our hearts. That impartation heals, strengthens, and empowers us to live the way we desire for Him; all the while filling us with His unconditional love and supernatural joy.
Have you ever experienced His manifest presence? If not, spend some time alone seeking Him, and He will reveal Himself to you in a way you never dreamed possible.
