Song of Solomon 4:9-10

(9) You have ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; you have ravished my heart with one look of your eyes, with one link of your necklace. How fair is your love , my sister, my spouse! How much better than wine is your love, and the scent of your perfumes than all spices!
Have you ever 'stolen a glance' with the one you love and who loves you? You know what I mean...you are in a crowded room, completely separated from one another. But you're aware of where they are every minute. Then you look across the room, and catch their eye. There's a lot said just in that one brief exchange. It speaks volumes and gives you a sense of excitement, assurance and comfort all at the same time.
A look exchanged between two that love one another can mean other things as well. Imagine you & your love are in a conversation with a group of people, and someone says something you feel is a little questionable, and you look over at the one you love. You 'exchange' glances. That look speaks volumes, because you know one another's heart and mind so well, and you know exactly what they are thinking...because you're thinking the same thing! That's just the way love is!
These examples are purely on a natural human level, but they are a good comparison for the bride and her bridegroom King. In these two verses, He is telling her how He feels when He looks at her. He is completely delighted and enamored by just one glance from her, and her desire to be obedient to Him (the link of her necklace refers to her dedication to Him). He refers to her as His sister, meaning they are in the same family of God. When Jesus came to earth incarnated, He became our brother in human flesh (Heb 2:11-17). Referring to her as His spouse is the same meaning as being His bride. The bride has a much deeper relationship with Him than just a friend or another relative.
God loves us so much, and His love is holy and pure. He sees our deep inward parts, and knows our true motives and heart feelings for Him. We must get to the place that we understand and experience His great love for us individually. False ideas about the love of God can damage our intimacy with Him (2 Cor 10:4-5).
He declares our love for Him is better than anything the world has to offer, and the fragrance of the love we carry for Him is greater than the most expensive spices.
In closing, do you know you can draw God's heart? Just look to Him. Focus your gaze on Him. If He is ravished by one look from His bride, imagine what a fixed gaze will do! And be assured...He will do anything for the one who ravishes His heart! Selah...
