Song of Solomon 4:2-3

(2) Your teeth are like a flock of shorn sheep which have come up from the washing, every one of which bears twins, and none is barren among them. (3) Your lips are like a strand of scarlet, and your mouth is lovely. Your temples behind your veil are like a piece of pomegranate.
This week the bridegroom King continues to affirm his bride, describing additional aspects of her physical beauty, which, when read as an allegory, is a comparison of the spiritual beauty she possesses.
Everything He describes is spoken in the context of an agricultural experience, because it is a language she understands. Remember when this was written, she was the shepherd girl, tending her flocks and keeping her vineyards. He affirmed her according to her understanding, just as He confirms us today, according to our understanding. Everyone is different, so the Lord will speak to you in the context you understand.
Her teeth speak of the ability to chew the 'meat' of God, indicating she is a mature bride. When Paul spoke to the Corinthians, he said "I could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to babes in Christ. I fed you with milk and not solid food..." (I Cor 3:1-2). Shorn sheep allude to her spiritual discernment and resting in Him. The priests in the Old Testament were forbidden to wear wool, which caused them to sweat, because they were to be at rest in Him. Shorn sheep have had their 'wool' removed. And as they come up from being washed, they are cleansed from the mud. That signifies being white and pure, without fleshly motives. "That He might cleanse her with the washing of the water by the Word...(Ephesians 5:26). Because her teeth are twins and not barren, this speaks of her double blessing with much fruitfulness.
The bridegroom King sees her lips full of redemption (a strand of scarlet), because her speech edifies and releases grace. Her mouth is lovely as she communes with her bridegroom King. Her mouth signifies that deep intimacy with Him, and delights Him greatly.
Her temples, or her cheeks, are symbolic of her emotions. Like a pomegranate that has many seeds in one single rind, all of her emotions are orderly, coming from a pure and perfect love. And behind her veil, there are emotions that are concealed that are even deeper depths of her sweetness that are reserved for Him alone.
